Job Seekers will have access to their own internet-based Portfolio where they can organize, store and share a wide array of documents and other credentials that provide evidence of their skills, abilities and accomplishments. This will be a permanent storage area for their accomplishments, including resumes, videos, certifications, recommendations, digital badges and the like.
Digital On-Ramps is working with Philadelphia Works, Inc., JOIN, and District 1199C Training & Upgrading Fund to construct career pathways that job seekers can explore to find job titles and career opportunities that local employers are hiring for now.
Digital badges are a way of documenting and awarding recognition for an accomplishment or achievement that can be shared electronically. DOR is working with its members, various partners, regional employers, and industry professionals on initiatives to improve employer recognition and acceptance of digital badges.
